We would like to greet you to our family-run country house. Enjoy nice and unforgettable days, the particular atmosphere in our well-kept and stylish holiday apartments which are all lovingly furnished in original Allgäu style.

Our house is located on the outskirts of the town, in a sunny place with a wonderful view of the Hindelang massif. We’re not far from the town center and all the tourist facilities can be reached on foot. Landhaus Via Decia is an ideal starting point for hiking, mountain climbing, cycle tours in all directions and you have cross-country ski runs close by. Bus stops and the bus station are only a 5 minute walk from here.

Our family has been living in the Valley of Ostrach for generations. Our ancestors
contributed to the development of tourism in our beautiful valley through agriculture, nature conservation and culture. So we want to continue this tradition thanks to our roots and the closeness to nature, but also contribute to progress and modernism in hiring out our apartments.

As sports enthusiasts and since we are a native family we can give you lots of information and tips for summer or winter activities, both in the mountains or the valleys. All the Haugs are keen on skiing, mountaineering and biking in our marvellous native country. We enjoy the fresh mountain air and we know the best places of gastronomy!

Our country house Via Decia

The name comes from the ancient Roman road “Via Decia” which was constructed by the emperor Decius as a trade road from the Valley of the Inn through the cols Fern and Joch to Lake Constance.

About our village

Bad Hindelang has a long tradition as a health resort. Even towards the turn
of the nineteenth century the first mountaineers, skiers and summer
holidaymakers came to the Valley of Ostrach. The place has permanently been
developed in such a way that it now meets the necessary requirements and
standards laid down for health resorts.
